About teacher continued........

Nicole has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bilingual Education (Spanish/English.) She is highly qualified to teach English as a Second Language, Spanish language K-12 and Elementary Education.

After graduating from Boise State University she moved to Spokane, Washington to participate in AmeriCorps where she implemented after school programs focusing on service learning throughout the local area.

She then taught preschool in two dynamically different settings.  The first was a Medicaid Treatment Childcare/Preschool where she and her colleagues worked closely with parents and children (implementing behavior intervention and play therapy) to provide a safe and secure environment.  The next setting was a well-known and established preschool in Spokane, where she loved every minute of her time with students. These experiences in early childhood education inspired a joy and a sense of purpose that seemed to come from a true calling.

Eager to move back home, and filled with curiosity at acquiring a job where she would use her specific degree, she worked with English language learners from K-5th grade in the Caldwell area.

Following this, her family was blessed to have the opportunity to have her be at home for a season with her children.

Through all her teaching experiences, preschool has held and captivated her heart.  She is excited and overjoyed to have the opportunity to work in early childhood education again!

Christ in the
Preschool Environment

  • Love, Love, Love

  • Each month we will have a new verse that demonstrates the biblical characteristics which we will reflect on daily.

  • We will say prayer at lunch time, giving thanks for our time together!  I will lead this prayer, and as students get comfortable I will open it to their leading. (Children will experience being prayed for and praying for others.)

  • When celebrations such as Christmas and Easter arrive in our school year, we will discuss the backgrounds of these holidays and their origins.

  • We use positive discipline, based on Love and Logic, natural consequences for actions and if over stimulated, moving to a calming area to recognize emotion and regroup.
